What is this course about?

The information to build, maintain and reproduce a creature, plant, microbe or virus is stored in the genetic material. The course will cover historical information about how we came to understand the nature of the genetic material. We will study how information is transmitted between generations and how it is expressed in each generation. We will discuss what can go wrong in this process and how it affects our lives.
