The TEX/LL herbaria's vegetation area 'D' (outlined in red) was somewhat arbitrarily selected for this survey, with focus on the possibility of occurrence in Mitchell County (outlined above in green). The area appears to be largely transitional from other Ecological Regions of Texas recognized by the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department.
