Leaves are oriented toward the branch tip (upward), shallow u–shaped (not conduplicate as with E. sericeus), linear to narrowly elliptical, length/width ratio ca. 1:8—1:12, leaf apex acute, base cuneate, petiole < 1 mm if present. Even in the scanned images below the denser pubescence on the upper surface is clear [click for larger versions].
