E. sericeus Venation in S. Texas
by Bob Harms  email-here

In South Texas E. sericeus frequently shows a somewhat different venation pattern than is found in other areas with a glabrous upper leaf surface. In addition to the expected basal acrodromous secondary veins, pinnate tertiary veins are prominent on the distal two-thirds of the blade of some leaves. In this same area corolla color also varies, with lilac & purple–lavender alongside the expected white.
