Trichomes from a leaf of Hedeoma mollis were scraped loose with a razor into a water/aerosol solution, and covered with a cover glass. Many broke apart and it was difficult to separate them. These were then photographed with a dissecting microscope at 45x and a compound microscope at 100x & 400x. Severe depth of field difficulties with the compound scope were dealt with by taking several images and then Photoshopping them together — with varying degrees of success. Red dots/arrows indicate my best guess as to the base of the trichomes shown.
