Cacti Native to Purola
Of the naturally occuring cacti of this area, only the prickly-pears (genus Opuntia) can be moved with success. The others are normally found in a well-drained northeastern exposure, and tend to die several years after attempts at transplanting. Armadillos love to dig up any newly transplanted cactus.
