Reflections resulting from the scanner light are faintly visible on both sides. The scale (contrasty black and white) on the bottom right has been added during the scanning and the paper was placed on a white sheet. White in the originals, however, is not white in the scanned image. Viewing the full sized scan by clicking in the red scale area shows the edge of the plastic sheath and also gives some indication of lighting effects produced by the scanner.
