Arkansas Lazy Daisy

Aphanostephus skirrhobasis var. skirrhobasis var. var. skirrhobasis

Asteraceae Pink White Yellow

This is one of the most abundant white-flowered daisies of sandy prairies. On wet years it carpets roadsides in some parts of the state, particularly in the post oak area of east-central Texas and the South Texas sand plain. It’s called “lazy daisy” because the flower heads remain closed and nodding until about noon.
