Salt Marshmallow

The salt marsh-mallow is an erect perennial that can grow to five feet tall and more in marshes, swamps and shores along and near the coast in southeastern Texas, inhabiting areas of brackish to nearly fresh water. The showy flowers, which are over three inches across, appear in the summer and fall. It also shows up as a cultivated plant in area gardens.
