Colorado Four-o’clock

Four-o’clocks are so named because the flowers of most species open late in the afternoon. Almost every part of the state has one or more of the 14 or so species of Texas four-o’clocks. This one is found only in the Trans-Pecos, blooming from late spring through fall depending on rainfall.
