Phacelia congesta

Hydrophyllaceae Blue Purple White

There are well over a dozen species of phacelias in Texas, most of them with the small but pretty flowers arranged into obvious curls or “fiddleheads” at the top of the plant. This species is common throughout southern, central, and western Texas, and scattered elsewhere, preferring gravelly or sandy soils in open areas. It flowers mostly in the spring, the flowers varying from blue to lavender.
