Indian Pink

The roving plant-lover is lucky indeed to stumble upon the Indian pink in its native haunts, where it is a rather infrequent denizen of rich woods in East Texas. The striking flowers, red without and yellowish within, are about one and a half inches long and appear from late spring through fall. It is also cultivated.
