The distinctive feature of this wildflower is the long very thin tube of the flower, to four inches in length, below the spreading white lobes of the corolla. This is a low-growing almost shrubby plant, found in very rocky or thin-soiled areas of the western Edwards Plateau and the Trans-Pecos.
