Solar Charging Stations Workshop Series: Visualizing Solar Data
This interdisciplinary workshop series (3 consecutive Sundays: Sept 21, Sept28, Oct 5; all 1-4pm) is for students interested in exploring the relationship between solar energy, interactive design, and public space. The goal of the workshop is to visualize, test and analyze the data generated from the UT-Austin campus solar charging stations including solar energy in, power out, usage patterns, and environmental conditions. This hands-on workshop series will generate visual communication signage and prototype open-source solar data logging software for the station. Sponsored by the Office of Sustainability, The UT Green Fee Committee, SURGe / utsurge.org (Science Undergraduate Research Group), and Sol Design Lab and funded by the UT Green Fee, there is no charge to participate and all majors are welcome. However, students are expected to attend all sessions and must take the time commitment seriously. Apply by with an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your uteid and why you want to participate.
