Solar Charging Stations Workshop Series: Visualizing Solar Data
This interdisciplinary workshop series (3 consecutive Sundays: Sept 21, Sept28, Oct 5; all 1-4pm) is for students interested in exploring the relationship between solar energy, interactive design, and public space. The goal of the workshop is to visualize, test and analyze the data generated from the UT-Austin campus solar charging stations including solar energy in, power out, usage patterns, and environmental conditions. This hands-on workshop series will generate visual communication signage and prototype open-source solar data logging software for the station. Sponsored by the Office of Sustainability, The UT Green Fee Committee, SURGe / utsurge.org (Science Undergraduate Research Group), and Sol Design Lab and funded by the UT Green Fee, there is no charge to participate and all majors are welcome. However, students are expected to attend all sessions and must take the time commitment seriously. Apply by with an email to beth.ferguson@soldesignlab.com. It’s time for an ESI event, Primate Social Behavior, with Dr. Anthony DiFiore! The Set up begins at 5:15pm, the fair begins at 5:45pm and ends at 7:00pm and takes place in Welch Hall. We will be walking over together after the meeting!

Snow Day! No meeting on Jan 24
Due to inclement weather, SURGe had to unfortunately cancel the meeting scheduled for Jan 24. We will postpone the speakers to a later date, so stay tuned and be safe.
Dr. Mueller presents co-evolution
