Punica granatum — pomegranate
Introduced from seed collectted from an Austin nursery plant c. 28 years ago. It freezes to the base every winter, but comes back every spring. A plant from the same set was planted on the ridge above us, which is significantly warmer, and it has bloomed and produced fruit on occasion.
