The Distribution of Sporobolus vaginiflorus & S. neglectus in Texas
by Bob Harms  email-here

This map plots S. neglectus & S. vaginiflorus in Texas represented in the TEX/LL herbaria as of 2014, as determined by R.T. Harms. S. ozarkanus in Bowie County is shown based on R. Riggens 1969 thesis (G.W. Letterman 77 [MO]). There are only 5 collections for S. neglectus, two from Grayson County. Riggins 1969 found it in Texas only in Grayson County. The variation in glume/floret length relationships shown for S. vaginiflorus does not seem to support the varietal distinctions of recent treatments.
