Registration will open August 1, 2013, and close Sept. 15, 2013.
The conference will be capped at 200 attendees, so we encourage everyone to register early!
Note that the registration website has a 240-minute time limit.
- If you wish to give a talk or poster, please prepare in advance a title (<= 25 words), a <150-word abstract, and 6 key words. By preparing these in advance, you can avoid exceeding the time limit on the registration website.
- Follow this link to REGISTER, where you will provide your contact information, pay to attend the conference (lodging is separate), and submit a request for a talk or poster.
- Lodging must be arranged separately. Download the LODGING FORM, fill it out, and send it with payment to the Asilomar Conference Center.
a) the housing costs quoted on the LODGING FORM are for all four nights, and will be lower if you stay a shorter length of time.
b) Lodging costs include taxes, fees, a State park use fee, and all meals (dinner the day you arrive, through lunch the day you leave).
c) The lodging form includes the option to request a specific roommate (who must register for lodging within 5 days of you), or to request that Asilomar find a roommate match for you.
Conference registration rates
In addition to these registration fees, there may be additional fees to cover the cost of the registration website and credit card payments.
Conference registration rates pay for essential conference services including projectors, speakers, room rentals, morning and afternoon coffee breaks, and evening events. ASN expects to break even financially; any unanticipated net income will be recycled into travel grants.
Attendees who wish to bring guests are welcome to do so. If the guests will attend scientific talks and partake of the coffee breaks, they should be registered conference attendees as well. However, if guests are simply staying in the Asilomar lodge with the ASN attendee, and attending meals, there is no need for them to register with ASN. However, the guest should be included in the housing registration form sent to Asilomar (see Lodging webpage).
To cancel your conference registration, contact the conference organizer (Dan Bolnick, email@example.com) at least one month before the conference to receive a refund (minus a $50 handling fee). Cancellation refunds will be issued shortly after the conference ends. If you must cancel on shorter notice, please also notify the conference organizer, who can open up your spot for somebody on the waitlist. For late cancellations, refunds cannot be issued unless the spot is filled by another attendee
