UT BIOS (Biology Intensive Orientation Session) is a four day intensive bootcamp, held from August 22nd to August 25th for incoming freshmen registered for Introductory Biology I (BIO 311C). This program is designed to help students transition from high school to college biology, understand faculty expectations, and learn the skills needed to succeed in biology.
Students enrolled in UT BIOS will experience college lectures and exams, participate in discussion sections, learn study skills in breakout sessions, and get the chance to network with peers and faculty. They will also have the opportunity to explore campus and become immersed in college life before starting their fall semester.
