Scheduling

The microscopes are scheduled using Google Calendar.
For the confocal, in "Sign in, Email", enter:  “pmc.confocal.calendar”
For the 2-photon, in “Sign in, Email”, enter:  “pmc.2photon.calendar”

When you are approved for use of one of the microscopes you will be given a password for calendar access. 
The same password applies to both calendars. 

YOU MUST SIGN UP FOR A TIME AND INDICATE THE OBJECTIVES YOU NEED.   ENTER YOUR NAME AND:
“Dry” = you wish to use the nosepiece containing the dry and oil immersion objectives
“Water” = you wish to use the nosepiece with the water immersion objectives

We have one nosepiece with the “Dry” objectives and one with the “Water” objectives.   They must be shared between the two microscopes.  Your ability to use the objectives you need may be compromised if you do not enter this information on the calendar! Please check the other calendar to make sure someone else has not signed up to use the other microscope and has claimed the objectives you need.  The sign-in for each calendar is given above.

HOW YOU CAN LOOK AT BOTH CALENDARS:   Once you are signed onto one of the calendars, go to the far right in the grey area on the line with the colored “Google”.  You should see here the name of the calendar to which you are presently logged into.  At the right of this calendar name is a small “carot”.  Click on it and choose from the menu “Switch Account”.  Select “Sign in to another account.”  Enter the name of the other calendar and the password.  This will allow you to see both calendars in separate windows on your monitor.
